Errant English

Monday, September 9, 2013

We saw a young woman with a huge clavicle tattoo that said "Life is fight." The Czech language doesn't have articles (a, an, the), which explains things. I'm guessing she wanted "Life is a struggle" in English inked into her skin and then, thanks to a bad translation, things went awry.

Here's another unfortunate example, from a clothing store display window. We think they meant "It's back-to-school time!"

This one is my favorite, because I have no idea what message was intended.

No judgement here, though, because I sound like a toddler when I speak Czech!
